Make Room for Jesus
5 Ways You Can Make Room for Jesus This Year

As we rapidly approach another Christmas ensure to make room for Jesus. We are busy putting up Christmas lights, buying presents, planning dinner, and looking forward to fellowship with family and friends. The aforementioned items are not bad, but we must, “Make Room for Jesus”. Luke 2:7 states, “And she gave birth to her firstborn son; and she wrapped Him in cloths, and laid Him in a manger, because there was no room for them in the inn.” Imagine turning down the opportunity of God’s son being born at your inn. But this man isn’t the only one who has missed the opportunity of Christmas, because for so many, there is still no room.
Listed below are just a few things we can do during this season to make room for Jesus.
- Dedicate time to talk with family about the reason for the season
- Read and discuss Luke 2 with neighbors and those that may not know Jesus
- Volunteer at a shelter or other venue to serve others
- Give gifts that point to Jesus
- Bring a friend or neighbor to church or a church activity
Enjoy this time of year, but remember to “Make Room for Jesus”.
